Teaching Style
My job is to teach you to not need me anymore whether it is for piano, singing, pilates, losing weight or
general fitness. My goal is for you to be comfortable with your developed craft and skill, so that I become
your coach and mentor, not just your teacher. You and I might work together for a few hours each week which
means most of your time working on your skill becomes your responsibility. Each time we work together, I desire
the student to take the lead by asking questions or commenting on their own practice experiences: "I was working
on this yesterday and it didn't work for me." Or "I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly."
Or "Aaaarrrrgggghhhh! This is so frustrating! Why am I not getting this faster?!?!"
It is fun to learn! I learn the most when you ask me 'hard' questions!
